Summary
The increasing world population, competition for arable land and rich fishing grounds, and environmental concerns mandate that we exploit in a sustainable way the earth’s available plant and animal resources for human consumption. To that end, food chemists, technologists, and nutritionists engage in a vast number of tasks related to food availability, quality, safety, nutritional value, and sensory properties—as well as those involved in processing, storage, and distribution. To assist in these functions, it is essential they have easy access to a collection of information on the myriad compounds found in foods. This is particularly true because even compounds present in minute concentrations may exert significant desirable or negative effects on foods.

Dictionary of Food Compounds, Second Edition is presented in a user-friendly format in both hard copy and fully searchable CD-ROM. It contains entries describing natural components of food raw materials and products as well as compounds added to foods or formed in the course of storage or processing. Each entry contains the name of the component, the chemical and physical characteristics, a description of functional properties related to food use, and nutritional and toxicological data. Ample references facilitate inquiry into more detailed information about any particular compound.

Compilation of Ingredients Used in Cosmetics in the United States, 1st Edition - Personal Care Products Council

Compilation of Ingredients Used in Cosmetics in the United States, 1st Edition - Personal Care Products Council - 2011

Description
The Personal Care Products Council is pleased to present the first edition of the Compilation of Ingredients Used in Cosmetics in the United States (CIUCUS).
This publication represents the first compilation of its kind to be used as a reference for ingredients that have been reported to the Food and Drug Administration Voluntary Cosmetics Registration Program (VCRP).
CIUCUS provides a compilation of ingredients that have documented use in cosmetics and is a useful companion for the definitive International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary (ICID).

The ICID provides a comprehensive international reference of descriptive and technical information about substances that have been identified as potential cosmetic ingredients.  While the ICID is a useful reference for product formulators, regulators, physicians, raw material suppliers, and consumers, it does not include actual ingredient usage data. CIUCUS provides the frequency of use information for INCI names based on the VCRP database.

Consumer Products Ingredient Dictionary in CD-ROM - CSPA

Consumer Products Ingredient Dictionary 2014 in CD-ROM, Consumer Speciality Products Association

The First Update to the Second Edition of the Dictionary is now available, featuring 487 Ingredient Monographs defining 988 trade names from 51 suppliers, and defining 1,866 technical or other names for those ingredients - a total of several hundred pages of technical information specific to consumer product uses.  The CSPA Dictionary was created to provide standard nomenclature for companies participating in the voluntary industry ingredient communication initiative. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Design for the Environment (DfE) Standard for Safer Products also identifies the CSPA Dictionary as an appropriate nomenclature system and encourages its use for DfE participants for the ingredient communication required for DfE partnered products.
Even if your company is not yet involved in ingredients communication, the CSPA Dictionary is an excellent reference for R&D lab and regulatory staff, with extensive information in each ingredient monograph, and you can also search for ingredients by chemical class, functions, and lots more. In addition to its primary purpose, the Dictionary now provides valuable benefits to:

§  Product formulation scientists, who can use it to search for what ingredients are currently used in consumer products by product category, chemical class, use function and other technical descriptors, and find out who supplies them, and under what trade names they are sold;

§  Regulatory compliance personnel, who can find further information on ingredients, including VOC/LVP status in consumer product air quality regulations and information useful for Safety Data Sheets; and,

§  Ingredient suppliers, who can file applications for their ingredients and brand names to be included and made known to product formulators

International GAAP® 2015 is the only globally focused work on IFRSs.
